On March 9th 2017 The Millennium Challenge Account “Business for Gender Equality” handed certificates to the winners and the participating companies.
The event was opened by Millennium Challenge Fund’s Executive Director Magda Magradze, United States Deputy Ambassador to Georgia Nikolas Berlin, Deputy of Minister of Education and Science Lia Gigauri and Head of Mission Women UN Organization Erika Kvapilova.
Business Academy of Georgia-SBA took part in the competition for the first time.
The event was attended by Business Academy of Georgia-SBA director Ms. Ia Eradze.
The competition is implemented by UN Women and UN global compact designed to promote the principles of women’s rights in order to expand. In particular, the competition involves the fourth principle -Women’s Education, Education and professional development for gender equality in business. This principle responds to the US Millennium Challenge Compact main task – to ensure equal opportunities for women.
